Dave Smith, is this paid content?

Not condemnable but should be disclosed if so.

Any article in the 'Sponsored' category is sponsored by a third party in one way or another.

This particular series was sponsored by Devsense and I was paid for my time to demonstrate using their product.

That said, I do not write advertisements. The focus of this series is a tutorial on using PHP Tools by Devsense within the Visual Studio IDE and hopefully provides some useful information without corporate propaganda.

Sponsored content is fairly new here at PHPClasses and they are still figuring out the best way to use it. Perhaps they should include a disclaimer in the article, that is up to them. Either way does not matter much to me since I will only write informative articles with some substance, sponsored or not.

Dave

I just realized that I responded wrong, since this is not the PHP Tools article I wrote for Devsense. I will blame it on sleep deprivation.

This article is a tutorial for using my HTML to PDF package that I made available here at phpClasses. It is not sponsored as other sponsored articles are. If phpClasses determines that it meets their publishing guidelines and provides something interesting and informative to their users, then they publish it as a featured article, otherwise it just gets published in the packages blog.

I have put some effort into supporting apiLayer, the provider of the API used by my package, because I think they are providing some excellent services which can be used mostly for free. Their model is really based on the concept that if their services are useful and used extensively, then they have paid levels that support those of us who use them in a limited capacity for free.
